Really wonderful piece. Lately I have been making lists to keep myself grounded and remind myself and others why I am so opposed to modern conservatism. But at a certain point, the necessity to do so makes me feel more like a recordkeeper than a progressive with an identity of his own. Relatable ty.
oh! The thing I forgot I wanted to say: Something about how all art often responds to or works around ephemerality, but my experience of politics previously felt the opposite. Politicians wanted to us to know history, build monuments, remember. It’s surreal when politics and art have the same goals
