had to leave stuff behind bc the company failed to maintain communication with us to determine what size truck was needed and blew us off whenever we called. the movers arrived with one of their smaller trucks and are tripling the price despite all our items being factored into the original estimate

sooo yeah, not a good situation at all. some of the stuff we're leaving is precious to us. but it is what it is. all that matters now is that we get to the new house and hopefully find a way to pay off these people, if we can't plead our case to them and get some sort of reimbursement 😔

Complete bullshit. If they gave you an estimate they are _legally bound_ by it. AFAIK it varies from state to state, but for the most part I don't think it can be more than an additional 20% before they are _required_ to get you to sign off on more expenses. Srsly, get a lawyer involved.
