I'll set some time aside to read it tonight. I was watching something unrelated the other day about Spanish culture and learned it's STILL taboo to talk about it there bc of that dark period of authoritarianism. There were & are families very divided and had to find a way to still love each other. 😞

I don’t know much about Spains history in this regard, but the U.S. has always had an authoritarian government, so I doubt this will be an a problem (at least it won’t be a problem I’m concerned with).

This doesn’t appear to offer the fundamental definitions that I’m talking about.

People have been using “rising authoritarianism” without knowing what that means.

And there’s no need to sign in to access the pdf I linked to, so I’m not sure what concerns about access one might have.
