I understand that.
I am just saying that I am not someone who just freely texts people with my actual phone number unless I know them well enough or it’s on business. So if they say “wrong number” that convo is pretty much over TBH.
Makes me wonder if those scams even work tho

They do. Common victims are usually gullible older individuals, not folks who are more internet adept.
