you are speaking to Liberal Dems, an ineffective colaborative demo graphic, and prob 'the choir' that already agrees. Please consider trying to speak to the people that get turned off as soon as you use a 'big' word they do not understand and stop watching because coastal elite, blah blah blah.
you know who I am talking about, and you know how to talk 'their lang', you demonstrate that in this video. I know, because you successfully escaped that nightmare void society just like I did 30 years earlier and in different southern state.
This won't be relevant to the overwhelming majority of anti-vaxx people you're targeting with your criticisms, but I worry you might have a blind spot in advocating for mandatory vaccines, specifically a portion of the black community that doesn't vaccinate due distrusting the government after /
Tuskegee similar incidents. In the wake of COVID, I found that I knew some of these people irl, and talking to them about these issues was pretty different to talking to the more bog standard anti-vaxx people I knew. Given the structure of our government and its history (which it is capable of /
repeating), I think ceding that level of power to the state is an understandably hard sell, even if I recognize vaccines as being overwhelmingly positive for society and almost impossible to be used in that way due to the number of people involved and ease of whisteblowing.
I’d give SpaceX a more serious look, my impression is they really are revolutionary in the launch industry, and are a good example of your “research always pays off” mantra.
Not only are we giving him billions that would have gone to NASA for real research, he is literally buying votes with our money and using that power to dismantle critical regulatory agencies. He is no Tony Stark. More like nepo-edison.
I watched this video on a flight earlier today, only to land and find out they just fired the top vaccine scientist at the FDA. Everyday comes with a new damage report.
The current administration openly favours the uneducated. I am not sure they have thought this through; unless of course they are intentionally trying to harm the youth and depopulate the nation. This is madness.
I am not sure their voters know what a liberal democracy is or care about anything outside of them and their own. Imagining they are separate they feel insulated. Until they or ther own are affected, many are lost in the good old days when the top marginal tax rate was 92% and the weekend appeared
Just made it to your "impersonation" of a specific KY talking head. I'm rolling over here! I'd comment on the video... but currently in time out for telling somebody to "buck the F up". Word for word... got me a 24 hour sit in the corner and think about what you did time out... If only they knew
supergood vid ofc
finally somebody gets to the point + refers to these ppl as chucklefucks + idiots
also btw, nobody asked, but when I was in college I broke out in acne in a bunch of spots w/chills or w/e
went to clinic on monday +turns out it was chicken pox
anyway, that kind of looks like measles
Are you talking into the mic on a card like those subway interview videos where they talk into their transit cards? It's clever if that's what you intended.
As a Canadian radio astronomer who was looking for postdocs last year, all the decent options were in the US and I am so glad I chose to stay away. I would not want to be a brown scientist on a work visa in the US right now.
That was interesting. It's been horrifying seeing what the United States has been doing to ruin their own scientific capabilities as a scientist working in Australia. The impact is being felt in other countries as well, by research groups collaborating with American research institutions.
The effects of this will be felt for decades. I used to discuss with my genetics classes how Lysenkoism destroyed genetic research for 50 years in the Soviet Union. At the time it was unthinkable that the US willingly sacrifice leadership in science, risking national security.
They've already *directly* sacrificed national security for absolutely no gain, so it's not surprising they'd sacrifice other things that would indirectly affect national security.
