Dear @bsky.app : the thread composer is great but a 500-character limit is still necessary. The current 300-character limit preempts nuance in replies and leads to typos that are introduced while editing posts for brevity

The sudden long form tweets on Twitter contributed to the enshitification of the service.
Microblogging works IMO.

On an up + coming platform that isn’t established it’s enough to make brands stall on posting.
Just display the first 500 charaters and include an "read the rest of the comment" button for any post with more than 500 characters.
