Been a long time subscriber to #MTN - I greatly value their work. I’ve written them 3x about their new self-harming policy of NOT showing clips (not even audio) of #Trump. Never expected a response but I DID expect others to express how infantile this reaction is among respected news organizations.

I’m very disappointed to see that most viewers like this policy when all it does is sully the MTN brand by demonstrating to adversaries that Liberals aren’t strong enough to see/hear “the enemy of Democracy” and perhaps we deserve the “snowflake” pejorative. It’s a huge unforced marketing error.

When they pull the policy in January (inevitable as the must cover the Inauguration) this will leave a long-lasting scar as media adversaries will make certain (as MTN becomes a competing equal) that their audience will never forget what they’ll call their “cowardly period.”

They already believe that and nothing will convince them otherwise. I think this is a fallacy we've held on to for far too long - that we can use logic to convince them. It doesn't make a whit of difference what liberals do in changing what conservatives think. So might as well do what we want
