I would love to send this to family members who believe fluoride is harmful. However, it doesn't answer their question of why a lower dose is safe. They believe it is doing harm but just undetectable harm.

Do you have a deeper explanation of why a lower dose isn't harmful other than comparison?

Also, I would try to take the benefit vs. risk ratio perspective with them but I feel it's not a sufficiently compelling point. 2/2

Fluoride studies often reflect exposure levels similar to or even below those in fluoridated water when considering total daily intake from all sources. Plus, vulnerable groups like pregnant women and kids absorb more and have less ability to detoxify, so even low doses can harm developing brains.

A 2019 Canadian study found that higher maternal fluoride levels during pregnancy were linked to lower IQ in children aged 3–4. The study area adds 0.6 mg/L of fluoride to the water.
