Ok so... Downloading FFXIV on PC. I never got past ARR base story (my God the shitty early game quests) but it still means a whole new account for the free trial. Maybe without the pressure of having to make the most of my sub time I'll finally get a character past ARR? - ThreadSky

idk how long ago you tried playing ffxiv but in the past couple of yeaes theyve changed and cut down on arr quests to make it more palateable to people, so you have that going for you! hope you have a blast, pace urself well and try gold saucer and other arr things!!

I played a few years back, I think when Dancer was still newish? It has been a while.

Good to hear some things were streamlined. I remember having to run from Limsa to the far end of the nearby farm like 7 times for quests and such.

i think you still do that but maybe a few less times i hope 😭 by your own dating, i think you played around shadowbringers which is right around when they started rolling out arr revisions so you might have just missed it or at least the further changes 🤞

I do enjoy the atmosphere and the gold saucer and the bulk of the game that I played.

I hope being able to jump in and jump out with the trial makes it easier to get through in chunks.
