I had my psychologist appointment today, which went well (Chris called me during it). She seemed impressed at how well I’m managing and protecting my own mental health.

She also reminded me that they offer food (it’s in a community centre) and that yes, everyone imagines someone worse-off might need it.

Chris was visited in hospital by his mum, who had amazing energy and timing to have also seen his doctor and a social worker (she passed her number to me). He has a meeting tomorrow to decide if he remains an involuntary patient. I hope for his own safety that they realise that he is still not well.

Tradies were here 10:00 am to 8:17pm. I cannot discern anything that they did that improves things for us current residents, besides mow the lawn. Most of it was working on the ‘new’ room. We get the disruption though. When they are here, you can’t really get any housework or cooking done.

I think if you approached the tradies directly and asked for an idea of what times the kitchen would be accessible most would try and give you a timeframe. Even if it’s just when they are planning on having their own breaks. Unless they are complete arseholes.

They are a bit arseholish in that they don’t tell you things like turning the power off. I don’t talk much to them as I rarely hear them speak English. What you said is my experience with most tradies besides these guys.

Just to add. You absolutely won’t get housework done. And tbh in my experience it’s really not worth the effort trying. Depending on the scope of works it will get messy again anyway. I would ask about laundry access though.

Red & green for Christmas, how festive 😊. Now i prob looked far worse today - as i walked too far in the humidity & was pouring sweat. Suddenly remembered i had this in my bag while i waited 25mins for an uber… Forgot how good it is!

Was a very useful Christmas gift a few years, & is particularly useful when away in Qld. USB rechargeable. I don’t know how i ever survived living up here. Tho i certainly realise Im back in Qld - already had ‘poofter’ yelled at twice.

I’m fine. It was a 5 min drive. You can see why I don’t want to do long drives on a hot day. My little room has aircon that can cope with one room well.
