Who should be acting? I’m appalled congress has just been posting to complain while apparently doing nothing. @andykimnj.bsky.social @booker.senate.gov
Well listen Chuck Schumer is busy posting about tomatoes and can’t be bothered by the massive data breach happening in the Treasury Department. Tomatoes have feelings too Joe! 🍅
Congressman Walsh it would be most helpful if you would speak with as many reporters as you possibly can about this grave crisis. The more your voice is heard, the more likely current and former members of Congress will push back. They actually listen to you. Thank you for all your efforts.
What is marches gonna do, plenty have tried it for years recently & it hasn't worked. America needs to demand change & I haven't seen it these last few months.
Show me one example of when your elected officials and/or courts did anything to stop this obvious March towards fascism, in the last 25 years...one...
You'd think those who are in the Judicial and Legislative Branches would see the writing on the wall snuffing out anything else. Just sayin'. That snake he's been talking about has arrived.
Will the people do anything about it? That’s another question. Feels like everyone is sleepwalking. Or obeying that old directive: “It’s impolite to discuss politics.”
Congressfolks need to be assembling a team of hackers, computer, data, cybersecurity and malware experts to get a grip on what Musk is doing. Hell, get a couple of screenwriters in the room to game out worst-case scenarios.
Is DOGE even an official department? Does Musk have any officially/legally recognized position in the government? How is this even allowed or condoned by Congress?
Senator Ron Johnson is a hard no on doing anything. Apparently skipped the advice and consent part of the Constitution among other things. Likely being well compensated.
The silence is deafening. We should have lawmakers forming a wall in front of Treasury screaming about how Musk has control over every American’s personal information and payments.
But, there is nothing more happening than complaining over social media.
That is the biggest question of them all, isn't it. I wonder what Trump and musk paid/ promised to the conservative anti-Constitution SCOTUS judges. must be better than fancy trips and a big shiny RV this time.
They won't. The people who put him in power need to admit a mistake & put pressure to remove hin, his administration, and start to rid itself of racist structures
Sadly I believe your right, the large majority of them will never publicly admit it & continue to vote red. Until we confront racism, they'll be another Trump after he dies
There is little in major newspapers about the enormity of what is going on. Of course doing this on the weekend was by design. Tomorrow morning the stock markets will react and hopefully the news will catch up??? Terrifying times.
I don't believe they will for at least a few weeks. Food prices won't go up tomorrow because the grocery stores purchase for future deliveries. Maybe in 3-4 weeks. Gas is different, retailers price fuel not based on what's in storage, but what it will cost to replenish supply.
The coup attempt was a Constitutional crisis.
Our judiciary failed us. Knowingly.
No one will do anything to stop them, which is why Trump, Musk, etc. are doing whatever they want.
SCOTUS make the POTUS a king. There is no getting around that without lots of bad things happening.
Congress, Senate & the US Military have to stop this. They won't do that until the threat is greater to them for disobeying citizens than the threats of the authoritarian. We need to make it abundantly clear that we support any & all actions to immediately remove trump & his unconstitutional admin.
Thus far it seems the answer is no. The fight against this oligarchic authoritarian regime is going to have to come from those of us willing to take the streets.
You have insight having been in Congress. Realistically what can the Dems do right now who are in Congress? What about regular people what would you advise we do starting right now today? I disagreed with your politics when you were in office but enjoyed interviews with you because of your candor.
They are too insulated from the tomorrow effects. Only when all the current Constitutional crises start affecting their lives and livelihoods, as well as those of their families, will they wake up and act. The remaining question is: When they finally realize it, will it be too late?
Republicans control both houses of Congress. Not one of them gives a g’dam about Americans or this country. The whole party is a threat to all of us! #CorruptCowards
You keep slamming the democrats but where the hell are the republicans? I know there are ones in Congress who KNOW this is insane and wrong. Their voices mean more now. Is there no courage left in Congress?
No...Congress and the SC are in goose step with the Orange stain:
"All history will show that no tyrant ever grasped the reins of power till they were put into his hands by corrupt and obsequious legislative bodies...."

They won't.
Our leaders have failed us and surrendered.
National strike
March on the White House
Martial law and brown shirts haven’t been created yet. Now is the time to strike.
Maybe a movie will be made of us sometime in the future.
So how do you make change when the powers in charge can reject everything?
It's a critical question.
No, they will not do anything, congress and the court are helping to usher in a dictatorship.
But, there is nothing more happening than complaining over social media.
Why does he need a team of hackers? And did he have them pre elections? 🤔

1. Which category does SCOTUS fall into?
2. Will anybody enforce the courts' rulings?
