There’s a difference between providing for those who are intellectually disabled and providing for those who make uninformed decisions. Tell me, if I max out my credit card to buy a luxury shoe and I can’t afford to pay it off, should you be required to reimburse me?
Man I think you keep emphasizing that you belong to the group that needs to be protected lol. The point is that Celsius shouldn’t have been able to operate and scam people even if it seemed like an obviously bad idea to most people.
Well, they can’t, because they went insolvent. That’s kind of why society should have prevented their scam from operating in the first place. That’s the crux of the issue here
I think we both agree - we have criminal courts, and the criminal court is indicting him because he can not pay back what he wrongfully took from his customers. He plead guilty and will hopefully go to prison.
Crypto should be regulated (and perhaps not allowed!), like the stock market or home finance, but it’s not because of tech bros, and it’s going to get worse with Elon & his DOGE.
Yeah I agree. Many crypto coins are blatant scams and people should be protected from fraud. But also people should do their due diligence before putting their life savings in untested institutions.
