On the 3rd day of Black History Month lets honor Booker T. Washington; an American educator, author, and orator. Between 1890 and 1915, Washington was the primary leader in the African-American community and of the contemporary Black elite.

day 9 Bernard A. Harris Jr., a NASA astronaut who became the first African American to perform an extra-vehicular activity (spacewalk), during the second of his two Space Shuttle flights.
