Huge respect to everyone participating in the #TeslaTakedown. Taking a stand against corruption, exploitation, and unchecked power is no small feat. Your voices matter, and your actions are making an impact. Stay strong and stay loud — this is how change happens. 💪 #Solidarity
Have you come across language you believe would be more helpful? Not being sarcastic. In some ways all of this stuff is new and in some ways it's old-fashioned fascism. But it's a hard one because I think people would tune out language about techno-feudalists.
I've also been part of our messaging on this evolving in the last few weeks away from swastikas. I do know what you are saying. I do just wonder what language does connect with tuned-out people the most. I wonder if there are studies even that are helpful.
Swastikas probably won't lure a dog out of the closet in the US. They'll do in Germany, because they're banned. But not calling things what they are just because you don't feel comfortable with them, even if you live in a fascist country, is trivializing the issue.
So we don't want to scare people away with facts? As a German, I tell you: You have to call a spade a spade so you know where you stand. And then you have to decide whether you want to have it again or not.
It's sad that people in the US tune out when they hear the word Nazi or fascist, because that's also part of American history. The victory over Nazi Germany, the war that cost so many American lives, and today there are people who want Nazi Germany for the US.

I think tesla takedown will work only if we can get more people on our side
my sense is that outside of the left end of the democratic base, most people are turned off by words like fascist
so if you want to be pure, but not communicate, that is great
I prefer to communicate
but here in the US, most people are going to tune out if they hear fascism or nazi
if you think a message that causes people to stop listening is a good idea, whatever
