I think a lot of this comes down to people’s eating habits. If people instead ate whole foods and ate everything fresh then the statistic wouldn’t be that high. But I guess people would prefer having easy access to processed foods than spending that extra bit of time and money on healthier options.
Yeah, it’s sad to say it’s a vicious cycle which partly comes from money and time but also the mindset of the individual. People could be well-off but still have all these processed foods due to how easily accessible it is.
