This is Spike. Having only seen the worst of humanity, a lifetime of cruelty, loss, violence, and abuse, he's grown to become antisocial, aggressive, ill-tempered, and paranoid, believing he doesn't owe the world anything, driven not by morality, but by his own personal interests.
