Two Arab American writers won National Book Awards last night, @lenakt.bsky.social and Shifa Safadi. Others were finalists. Both winners gave impassioned speeches about the genocide in Gaza. Arab American writers have struggled so long. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, and we’ll keep going.🧿🧿🧿
