I don't mind him also introducing a bill to firm up information privacy. We learned too late that too much of our government was only protected because people were doing the right thing, as opposed to following actual laws. *But they also need to be metaphorically carpet bombing the situation.

No one member can be everywhere at once, they all have different strengths, and they ARE limited by being in the minority. Were they slow out of the gate and generally unprepared for how quickly this got bad? Yes.

But some of that is bc of leadership, and some is bc most ppl - including experts - didn't think we'd be here so fast. That's not to say there isn't still criticism due, but I think it's reasonable and likely advisable for them to take a multi-pronged approach & to be vocal about what they're doing.
