People need to get loud about these cuts. I call my senators and representatives at least weekly, but I've also joined local groups who are making noise. Tesla/doge protests are good practice for what lies ahead.
This is all going to be on us, the people. Just like it was for our grandparents.

I’m calling multiple reps daily! Protests have been hit or miss as the organization tends to be pretty siloed. Part of my reason for asking the senator about organizing is that I believe protests would be more effective and draw larger sizes if we could leverage the DNC existing comms

YES, 💯 agree! I don't know where the DNC *is* at this point. They put a new chair in - but where are they organizing locally? where is their social media? WHY aren't they leveraging this moment to bring us out to work on this problem en masse?

They better not be waiting on the midterms.

That would be incredibly foolish if that's the approach. Elections should only be a sliver of their focus. They'll get not a penny from me for sleeping when we need them most.
