I rarely need home repair stuff, and I’ve usually gone to the Rona near me in Coquitlam. It never seemed important to research their ownership, but now I see they’re owned by a U.S. private equity firm, so I’ll have to look around next time I need anything.

Grocery chains are easier, but individual grocery items are challenging. Now that I’m carefully reading labels, I’ve been annoyed to find some products I buy regularly are made in WA, CA, and CT. I have no quarrel with blue states, but it’s important to limit “made in the USA” purchases right now.
