In System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts... > Modifier Keys, tell macOS to interpret Ctrl as Cmd and Cmd as Ctrl

I use Linux, and on my mechanical keyboards I try to switch the win key to 'super'. I still would've been fine if it was relabeled to command, but it's in the spot of the alt key which is what bugs me

i use whatever the fuck the steam deck comes with(KDE Neon?), you can go to system settings and rebind all the shortcuts, i'm sure it's similar on other distros

I write Open Source now that I'm retired. Have one project that runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Linux Mint is my desktop. Although I like being able to create an app for macOS that does things their way I absolutely hate using macOS. And refuse to buy a new one just to "sign" my free app.

I used macOS for 9 years, and have a muscle memory to use `Cmd` (instead of `Ctrl`)
Recently I switched to #linux and `Cmd+C` (or `V` or...) would either do nothing (me wondering why didn't it copy) or would do something unpredictable.

When you have multiple devices running off a single keyboard and you do Control V instead of Command V and slap the keys a few times before you remember you hit the wrong button on the wrong machine.

I try to think about them as thumb or pinky shortcuts. Thumb for cmd and pinky for ctrl and just think about that for my shortcuts. Thumb shortcuts for mac and pinky shortcuts for windows.
