Sebastien de Castell, Play of Shadows. Heβs built up quite a world, with a lot of standard fantasy tropes (swordplay, courtliness, tribes/groups with different semi-magical abilities) but done with enough wit and love that I reckon Jodi readers would enjoy the series (some are YA).
At risk of sounding sycophantic, I am genuinely reading this! But next up is either This Is How You Lose the Time War or Sophie Hannahβs latest Poirot.
Two on the go at present, depending on my mood. Iβm re-reading Simon Sinekβs Leaders eat last, and really enjoying escaping with Clive Cussler and Graham Brown
Sanderson's Mistborn and The Waste Lands, by King. I've not read Mistborn yet. It's ok. I was expecting a bit more, after all the press I've read. I'm reading King's Opus for research. π #JodiTaylorBooks
This is probably the furthest behind I've ever been, but I'm just reading Lights! Camera! Mayhem! now!
Have Matt Haig and Stephen King waiting in the wings!
