But you ARE the one checking boxes to see if someone belongs in the military, and that does make the military weaker. DEI meens anyone that meets the rigorous qualifications can join. Which increases the competition so that we can recruit the best qualified people. It is merit-based.

There is no special treatment for joining the military. Meet the merit-based qualifications and join, including basic training, or don't, and be denied. You are the one wanting to add special qualifications that have nothing to do with a person's willingness and ability to die for our country.

How can you trust a military to consistently defend a diverse society if it is anything other than similarly diverse? Peacekeeping Forces seem to always become increasingly unpopular where they are deployed. Even in best cases. I don't know if it is causation or correlation, but I have noticed it.
