Such systems here are costly, but still relatively cheaper since we live on clay. We need to smash concrete poles into the ground to 30 meters depth to find a stable sand plate that we can actually build on.
What is a forced air system? I only know the following :
- air to air ( essentially airconditioning )
- air to water (what I have)
- water to water (ground bound thermal, sometimes done with pvt panels too)
The "to air" part. HVAC systems here mostly use a furnace that directly heats the air which is circulated with a fan (forced air). Are there water to air systems?
Yes. They’re called water-to-air hydronic systems. They pump hot water from a water heater or boiler to a water coil which distribute the heat in the airstream.

Good thing though: that is a one off cost. The topside gear may need replacing, but the thermal loops do not.
