The night tour at Tapir Valley is the most consistent way to see them in the northern part of the country. Or my yard. 😂

I'm not sure when your trip is or where you're staying in the area, but our house is for rent when we're not here. You just have to make sure to bring some plátanos for them.

Bijagua is about an hour and a half from Fortuna, so you might consider a Tapir Valley night tour. Depending on your plans.

Quite manageable. The roads are mostly paved to Tapir Valley, some gravel but fine. They're mountain roads that wind which might not be fun late at night if you decide to drive back after a tour. But people do it often, and you just have be careful.

Oh my tapir!!

We’ve been so involved in other things that we haven’t even been enjoying Banana the Taper - who makes everything that we suffer through, worth it - a representation of beauty on earth
