In many countries like Iran and Afghanistan, being a woman in & of itself is an act of blasphemy, our bodies, hair, eyes, voices. Being an atheist, gay, apostate or ex-Muslim..
The struggle to blaspheme is a struggle for the right to be fully human.

Free expression, including the right to blaspheme, is one of the most important rights of all. And it's important to use that right in provocative ways from time to time, as the Charlie Hebdo staff did, and not to self-censor all the time!
