This whole conversation is so fucking irritating. “Go to work” WHERE? My company alone had 400+ people apply for an entry-level job. Wages are stagnant, prices are rising, and we’re all accused of being lazy benefit sponges.

If you can work you should, ok, no big problem with that. However, reducing benefits to those who are unable to work is wrong.
And refusing to increase benefits so poor working families do t have to go to food banks is also as bad as Sunak et al.
And I hated them!!!!

While I agree with the sentiment, how does this explain cutting help for those who are unable to work?? Rather than blanket policies, how about targeting those who are abusing the system individually so that those who aren’t don’t have to suffer? It’s pathetic.

I disagree - I have worked with a lot of disabled people over the years, physical and mental who go out of their way to do a good job, I think there’s others who will just take the state money because they can. Disability does not mean you can’t work but it’s very easy to do.
