However, I believe the political spectrum of a region should primarily reflect federal election results rather than provincial or local government outcomes.

Interestingly, in recent years, the Conservatives have maintained a stronghold in Manitoba, even in some areas in major city Winnipeg.

In Ontario, Doug Ford recently secured a third majority win in the provincial elections. Yet, this doesn't necessarily make Ontario a right-leaning province. The GTA and its surrounding 905 region have consistently elected Liberals in nearly every federal election since Trudeau's rise in 2008.

Canada, in my view, is one of the most left-leaning countries globally. The four Atlantic provinces, Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and the three territories predominantly lean left.
Even Canada's Conservative Party is often considered more left-leaning than the Democrats on major policies. 4/X
