It didn't bother me because it's my choice to have my work emails on my phone and I just went back and said thank you. So no drama but I just wondered what you thought...
I’d wait until Monday just to make the point. Can’t say I’ve ever received a nice work email on a weekend 🤣 but I make a point of replying to evening emails from the US the next day.
So do I, I can take it off but choose not to as I don't mind and don't check it that much. Also in situations like this it's nice to hear something nice, whether that is during work time or when half cut. Sounds like the job is going well.
Depends on the content but as a general rule, I switch off all work-related stuff after Friday afternoon. I’d rather be present in the moment with my family and friends. Work can wait.
My hours and days in work are all over the place. I'll occasionally get a text from my manager on one of my days off, sometimes I respond, sometimes I don't bother until I'm back in. He's a nice guy. But they are only ever sent in the day. Saturday night is a bit odd
This is the reason I have my work emails on a different phone. Its fine getting a nice email but if you had been in the pub and it was a bad email and replied whilst a bit merry you can get yourself in to all sorts of bother! 😉😉

Too frequently and it might down the line lead someone to think "If I send them something to do outside of work hours, I can expect action"
But, if it was saying well done you etc, then I suppose it’s fair to reply. Does set a precedent if you’re not careful though.
