Are you a fan of The Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons?

No. I read the first two, then decided he had no idea what he was doing. Ditto: ILIUM. I liked a couple of his early novels.

Oh too bad! I thought the conclusion paid off really hard. Just my opinion. Ilium?

They’re really two stories with a divergence in the middle. He takes that story all the way. Comparable to three body but more fantastical.

Sorry, is this about the Hyperion books or about ILIUM/OLYMPOS?

Apparently Ilium/Olympos are regarded even higher than Hyperion. I’ll have to check them out :)
