I’m absolutely for the Economic Blackout/boycotts I’m seeing my one this is that unfortunately I think they’ll have to be longer than a week to do damage
Much like with Starbucks over Palestine there has to be a commitment to just not be a patron to Target/Walmart/Amazon for like a year

But then doubt this boycott is even becoming known to ppl who aren't at least somewhat-online. I don't see huge numbers on any of those posts & some of us barely buy anything at all even normally :/
1-2 quarter however would
1) actually scare them
2) would help ppl break a shopping pattern/not come back
And that’s very hard especially depending on where you live
Do whatever tho like I'm for it I just feel it ought to be longer and concentrated
Pushing for a 3-6 months minimum no buy however gives ppl the time to know and stop consuming at those CONCENTRATED stores
Yeah, like, one of the biggest takeaways I took from this podcast episode I listened to yesterday is if there aren't clear asks, then it's not going to fucking work. And incidentally, there's not enough working class and/or union folks making these calls
I’d love a push for longer and concentrated boycotts cause like at the start of Free Gaza it was a bit all over the place as to what the plan was
I just see blackout dates not really much on what the goal is so idk if I'm just..not seeing what the full plan is
Imagine putting energy into people who repair needful goods?
Reuse and repair are much better for our communities and our planet.
Also when it’s just a small boycott for some days or a week people will just hold up buying what they wanna buy and will do so after the days. So after the dip follows the big buy
Instead of holding out for some days people need to learn to go without those companies.
And it is possible to go without them! Yes not for everyone but overall it can be possible
