I think the energy that can be harnessed right now if someone in a leadership position wants to step up and be a leader is extraordinary.

PLEASE contact your congressperson/senator & INSIST they DO NOT help repugs pass the spending bill, an extension OR anything else.
LET the gov't shut down by 🍊 hands. Yes, we'll all suffer, but non maga R voters need 2 feel pain. Maybe then they'll listen.
Only Crockett, AOC, Murphy, Raskin, Sanders, and Pritzker seem to be raising the alarm.

@whitehouse.senate.gov has been doing a pretty great job for years now (and has been vocal in the past weeks as well)
It's that the leadership isn't.
And we need much more aggressive action than just speaking out.
Schumer is our top Democrat in power, and he is doing NOTHING about a coup.
I also think all the living ex Presidents should denounce Trump's unconstitutional actions in a joint prime time press conference.
Dems should also be referring to it as a coup. (1/)
From there they could organize a nationwide peaceful protest, nationwide civic education, and a broader plan of peaceful resistance.
They're acting like a political party when they should be fighting like an opposition party.
Suddenly their guns turned inward & Americans were targets.
