I've been making sure to only like certain posts and follow specific people. Once I'm happy with the balance, I'll mainly look through the "following" feed.

That's been working so far. I also think the algorithm is better at feeding you stuff you actually like too.

Honestly, I'm curating mine to be a rare isolation closet away from politics and crisis. I get enough of that everywhere else. It'll be nice to just have a tiny space that's quiet and full of fun creators.

Same! I don’t NOT want the news. But I don’t want to doom scroll either. And as much as I love anime and my anime peeps, I don’t need that to be my whole personality. I’d like some diversity and education and entertainment.

The algorithm is entirely different here, so I think the doomscrolling should be inherently avoidable since twitter’s became designed for that sort of thing. Idk exactly how it works here but i’ve heard it’s much much different in how it works
