Yet your followup article is let's just say too technical for many readers to grasp. So, instead of coming down on Pulitzer winning Paul Krugman's analysis and conclusions, why don't you work on your own.

Yes it shows that Pulitzer prizes no longer carry any weight. Please try to learn some basic economics so you can know enough to see that realize that Krugman is wrong and part of the problem.

Paul Krugman was wrong so much that a couple of economists made a podcast coving what Krugman got wrong in that week's article. It's crazy he never got fired from the NYT for being such an idiot. https://contrakrugman.com
Lol, no he doesn't, you may think he does due to your ignorance of economics.
He gives cover for the Elephant in the room. Look at what the FED has done to the dollar. Look at how much government has expanded. Something like 40% of new jobs are government. Not sustainable.
The middle class has been gutted and shrunk 10% over the last 40 years and is position to shrink more right now. Through our corporation we no longer have pensions, health benefits are iffy, women earn 28% less, It takes two incomes to afford a middle class living and the American dream is dead.
Yes due to the expansion of government. Women actually don't earn less for the same job, that's a myth. Think about it, if you were a greedy CEO and you could hire a woman to do the same job for 28% less pay who would you hire?
Now we have American wage earners at the mercy of these Fortune 500s who pay close to 50% of their work forces low to poverty wages. In the 80s we had one billionaire. Now we have over 850.
Here's what I know first hand. When I first started my corporate career in the 80s small business produced 73% of our GDP. But now it's Corporate fortune 500 monopolies who produce around 65%. Small businesses that produced good livings are gone.
