Pixar has officially announced that Coco is getting a sequel. Coco 2 is on track for release in 2029 with both Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina returning to direct. I wasn't expecting this given I expected Coco to be a standalone, but I'm curiously optimistic to see what they'll do.
