Like I write my fanfics because I like them and don't really expect anyone else to...
But still I absolutely love when people say nice things about them, especially if it's the creator of the character(s).
Nobody ever said anything mean yet but I would probably cry. 😭
As much as I broke out of the mindset of looking at numbers, it does still feel nice sharing stuff and having people approve of it, though comments mean a lot more to me than just likes or reactions on discord. I think I just like connecting with people through my art as much as doing the art itself
This though- it feels bad to devote hours of my life for something, only to get 1 or 2 comments. Especially when im really proud of it. This happens on main, so i cross post
I think, if desired, sharing art for others to enjoy as well is just as much of something to enjoy about the creation process. It’s a very social need.
