When I was in LA I got in touch with Sherm Cohen, who was one of the main writers/board artists on "SpongeBob". During our conversation he brought up the comic book and how they're friendly towards indie comics.

I followed up on that later and he gave me editor Chris Duffy's contact. I showed Chris some of my comics and he agreed to accept pitches from me.

I never got to met Stephen Hillenburg, although I know he approved of all the comics that ran in the comic books, including my pages.
