i own decora girlz and they all have really good quality, soft nylon hair, which makes me optimistic for the ponyz. especially compared to the polypropylene hair on my g4 mlps which is frustratingly unfixable
considering how much they stressed that both the regular and big dolls had nice nylon and the horses are made to match the dolls, i’d be very surprised if they didn’t have the same exact hair tbh. i am sooo excited for these they are SO CUTE also i love ur decora girlz collection :>
is the polypropylene hair on your ponies super fried?? as far as i was last aware of, you should be able to take a hot water soak and very very cheap conditioner or fabric softener with combing gently from tips to butt/head for most G4 toys (it's the same for g1s)
unfortunately yes, i tried hot water, fabric softener, conditioner, and detangling spray. their hair feels like straw and keeps puffing back. i might try one more hot water dip and try to smooth em down with hair gel so it's not so frizzy
oh NO!!! if you're able to, after a really really thorough wash & comb-through with whatever you have that's super fine toothed (try a flea comb!!) i would wrap their hair in the directions you want it set n put em in a plastic bag, & put THAT bag in super hot water! sometimes it's setting issues!
this stuff is aggressively bouncy, so my best advice is just to pull it tight if you can and set it in bag. setting in bag is a much more rapid process for heat setting this hair than the pouring boiled water over treated pony method!
