Why Texas is the best US state to be a climate advocate:
1. Highest CO2 emissions
2. Oil & gas industry’s home
3. Most weather & climate disasters
4. Most wind energy
5. Most utility-scale solar
6. Rapidly growing storage & geothermal capacity
If change can happen here, it can happen anywhere!

I guarantee nobody knows 4. and 5. and would bet on CA or some other state. These are great facts to disrupt the narrative.
Would love to be added to it.
** depending on the month, California may be in the lead for utility scale solar. The two states are currently neck and neck.

We (Texas) lead the nation in wind and solar energy production, yet our governor wants to follow Il Douché's lead and "drill, baby, drill." Texas is the epitome of rational dichotomy.
Then again, that pretty much describes conservatives.
It's easy to forget up here in Dallas, but we have enormous, beautiful, wild spaces you can get to pretty quickly.
1. Most Texans think the government should do more to fight global warming
2. Most Texans want solar on their roof
3. We have vast untapped reserves of energy efficiency potential
4. Texas politics are wild but never dull
5. Food, music, culture, natural beauty.
