Yes. The worst-case outcome of the Trump-Musk regime is *not* that we don't have elections anymore. It's that we continue having elections and Dems win about half of them, but that both parties accept that government exists of by, and for the tech oligarchs.

I see many people worrying that we will never have another election.
But that's not how authoritarianism works in the 21st century. Almost every regime, even the most authoritarian, holds elections. They've become another tool for dictators to control narratives and manufacture legitimacy.
