I wasn't politically conscious (or even had conscious memories) for Reagan and Bush Sr., but I understand there was a recession. Dubya: the economy crashed so hard we gave it a name. Trump: plague, then recession.

The GOP has 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 been good at economics, statistics 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘦!
Conservatism by its very nature is an attitude of shunning change & making sure 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 life is comfortable.

I have been on this Earth for nigh on 50 years, and every time the D people have been in charge the economy and the middle class grew, and every time the R people have been in charge, the economy shrank and the class gap got bigger. So "good for the economy" must mean "only good for the ultra-rich".
