You can send less money to Elon's treasury (a soft tax strike) by increasing contributions to pre-tax savings plans at work (eg 401k, 403b, 457 plans). Be careful so you don't miss out on matching contributions. A lot of workplace savings plans have a financial advisor you can talk to for help.
