I've never felt so certain about an answer. It's number 1.

Idk while number 1 feels correct the newspaper industry have adapted to Internet pretty well. NYT has been balling it out every quarter. Major revenue got to be from ads, clickbaits and such. Quite a few are willing to pay for subscription fees as well. Also it didn’t say study was by news agencies

That said i think it’s #3. Inflatable concrete sounds impossible. Concrete is very brittle and I’ve no clue how one can build a dome like that

I'm going to go with #2 as the fiction. That's not to say I don't believe the internet is responsible for the decline of newspapers, but I'm perfectly willing to believe some study found it to be such.
