a part of it absolutely is that i relate so strongly to her and see my own bpd patterns in her but. i think mizuki is someone who wishes to have control over her own emotions and bond really strongly, but Struggles because they are big and overwhelming.
i think that her fear of abandonment is a really big tell for me, paired with her fear for change. she's going above and beyond for the sake of being able to have stability in her life because of that fear, and even relatively "small" things send her into really strong emotions.
i think about how ena catching on that mizuki wasn't ok and the fear that her mask would get seen past is a manifestation of that. her control is being taken away and the possibility of rejection sent her into a REALLY bad spiral in mizu2. i think she definitely manifests very polarized thinking
i think her reaction in mizu5 and behavior afterwards is a manifestation of that as well. i think mizuki also hides a lot of her big emotions as best she can because she's tiptoeing the line between being seen as hysterical or aggressive (layers of transmisogyny there)
i think ena definitely is more textbook in a way but i think they both show just. very different ways of how it externalizes, and mizuki's very careful monitoring of her own behavior is a big tell for me at least (i act similarly is my biggest point for this LOL)
