yeah this is just a good fucking metroid game. i think it's not really the favorite from the structure but it's so good. died only once to the final boss. got 100% + 100% map completion because. yeah

yeah i'm really curious how it goes about doing that because the original metroid 2 feels like a game that is entirely defined by the hardware it's on so i'm curious how it could be adapted to anything else (samus returns kind of fell flat there imo)

i think that at least in not doing stupid shit with the final area am2r does a lot better in comparison. i like the choices for extra upgrades and it has a lot of really good ideas. i think 100%ing it isn't the most enjoyable thing ever but other than that, it's a damn good game on its own right

the ending of samus returns is so deeply baffling to me i have no idea how they missed the point that hard. also to be fair most official metroid games are kind of a pain to 100% too, zero mission is kind of miserable and i think that's one of the best ones for a normal playthrough

do you mean the castlevanias for gba and ds. if yes, we've played aria, most of dawn and most of order of ecclesia. currently replaying OoE to finally finish it, need to revisit DoS (maybe with the collection version to avoid sigils). really love aria and order of ecclesia

it's like a 5 to 6 hour long game, very doable

just... please for the love of god play the *original* PS1 version, the Saturn version sucks, and the PSP version (base for all future ports and rereleases) has re-recorded voice acting which takes all the soul out of the game lmao
