A flock of robins showed up here ~3 days ago; just before our 1st winter snow/ice storm. they quickly vanished. but today's warmth has quickly thawed the ice off the trees & bushes & the robins are back in the complex. & acting very enthusiastic about life & the world. I envy them that every day.

Branch Manager went out & found a job he's good at. & pursues it with dedication & obvious satisfaction. Birds in winter consider it a solid win if they don't freeze to death overnight & they find breakfast in the morning. Paying attention to this stuff is the only keeping me sane & grounded rn.
