I appreciate @jayacunzo.com's perspective. I usually include a slide at the end of my talks showcasing my services, but it’s always felt a bit off. I’m thinking of leaning into the hallway chat idea—maybe hosting a meetup or office hour to dive deeper into the topic with anyone interested.

If you’re giving virtual talks as part of your marketing, remember:

Speeches are for evangelizing your ideas. But next, others want to personalize/apply them.

Your CTA shouldn’t be “more stuff” or “buy.” It should mimic hallway chats w/ you (I point to roundtables & free assessments 1:1).
