Plus, appealing to the anti-woke crowd won't do anything - many of them decided they hated this show when its version of Norman Osborn first appeared in the marketing.
This is a ridiculous thing to say, though. It demonstrates he understands little about who Spider-Man actually is and what "woke" apparently is, too.
