I do the same, but then I decided to take the risk. At the very least, I can replace the notebook, but an empty notebook is even worse.

This is one of my favorites. After finding a copy of Elbert Hubbard's Scrapbook from 1923, I decided to make my own collection of poems, quotes, and prose that have meaning to me.
