So. I wasn’t going to talk about this. But a friend said I should.
I had a grocery delivery from Walmart when I showed my ID they asked me to spell my name. Then he repeated my birthday. He said “1970 was the best year. Munich, yes?”
I said nothing and I’m ashamed
And I reverted to the puddle.

Especially as a identifiable Jew in this time/place.
I'm so sorry.
This needs to be reported to the headquarters of Walmart and maybe the SPLC's Hatewatch
There’s also the reality that you don’t know if his reaction would have been violent if you had pushed back.
I’m so very sorry that happened. 🫂
Report the guy.
In my dreams, I pepper spray the bastard, then bash his head in with a brick.
BUT! - you can get his ass fired. Be smarter and better than him, wreck his life the smarter and better way.
I don’t want anyone fired. I just want my family to exist.
I think you need a quality Karen to guide you through the process. @staceycks.bsky.social , may I impose?
(Stacey is a person of highest caliber; she uses her Karen powers for good. It's like if Godzilla fought crime.)
But, I am not at that point today.
I am so sorry friend
You have nothing to be ashamed of- you had to have been in shock. And tbh, sometimes just not reacting is a perfectly fine reaction in itself.
I do think Walmart should know about it, if you feel up to telling them.
When you have had a chance to recover, report this PoS.
But darkness is emboldened right now and others may experience similar things. We will stop being stunned and together we will learn effective responses.
I don’t know how a non Jew would even get this.
